8M Metro Madrid
Commissioned Mural to commemorate International Women's Day in 2022 at the Sainz de Baranda station for the Metro de Madrid curated by ADN COMUNICACIÓ.
The composition focuses on a balance of language contrast between figurative (sculpture) and illustrative (flowers) elements, while combining an organic expression (used both in the sculpture and in the flowers) with the mechanical expression of the background shapes.

The concept is divided into two parts, on the one hand there is a representation of women's struggle for equality, through the statue of Victoria of Samothrace, which presides over the composition. The statue represents the goddess of Victory (Nike), which was discovered in pieces and is thus exposed, incomplete, in the Louvre museum. Thus giving rise to a perfect analogy with the struggle of women. I use it as a representation of the victories already won, but also as a metaphor that these are incomplete.
On the other hand, it aims to honor all women and their diversity in a more inclusive way, through the representation of a flower native to each continent. Flowers, in addition to being an intrinsically feminine symbol, also have their own symbology
The choice of colors and broken shapes is intended to focus on the positive side of achievements, conveying a sense of lightness and joy.
The aim was also to produce a final result conveying the message in a more subtle way so as not to threaten people susceptible to offence.
The painting took place from the 1st to the 6th of March, extending over a height of 17mx2m, and on the 7th it was inaugurated by the Deputy Director of Madrid's transport and infrastructure network, Carlos Díaz-Pache.
